Continuing Education

Did you know that our therapists are always looking for education courses? Not only to keep their certifications current, but more importantly, because they are dedicated to their profession and providing evident-based, quality care.

Over the last weekend, Janine, Lil, Kristen and Lana go together to attend a University of Washington Course on Atypical Tendon injuries. This course went over current practice for the management of tendon injuries and transfers from a surgical and therapeutic perspective.

This coming weekend, Kristen will be attending the Canadian Society of Hand Therapy in Toronto. She was involved in the design of a novel othosis design for shoulder external rotation, which will be presented at the meeting.

Later in May, Lana wil be joining the BC Hand Society Meeting. This is an annual get together of Hand Therapists to be part of several different presentations from Hand Surgeons and colleagues.
